Topic:
Plotting with reverse polarity causes the plot to be miscalculated.
Description:
This is only a problem if you alter the zero offset.
In SeisDV, go to Define > Display Specs and change the gain control to reverse
polarity and change the zero offset to be different than zero. What happens to
the plot is that the polarity of the display set in display spec is not being
accounted for in the plots, sidelabel or legend. When you plot like this, the
colors will be misrepresented and you won't see the features that you want.
Solution:
What you can do is set the polarity to normal and flip the colorbar. To do this
position the cursor over the colorbar and hold down the control key and click
MB2. This will give you the same graphical display that you had when your
display specifications were set to reverse.
