Unknown message id# 534408101 in Basemap appearance.

Description:
Trying to define grid annotation in the map appearance and received error:

        unknown message id# 534408101 in Basemap application
        unable to create Basemap colortool pixmap
        invalid color representation type specified
        function col_rep_get_type_failed

Solution:
The problem could be due to corrupted saved sessions and/or corrupted map files.
Back out of IESX project, and reenter without the saved sessions (i.e. do
not click the 'Continue' button in Session Manager).  If that doesn't work, then
delete the map appearance file giving the error and all the map picture files 
using that map appearance file, and recreate.  If that still doesn't work, then
delete the map content, map appearance and map picture files. (To delete map 
files use DataManager > Map > Delete; select map files; turn on the 'Delete 
selected map files only' toggle; click on the 'Delete' button.)
