Error loading new wells: "error getting old path, s.v.=20547, 5043h."

Description:
Loading a large ASCII file of path and top data for over 640 wells into an IESX project converted from IES which previously had no wells. While attempting to load the data, the first well loads, then it errors out with the message above.

Solution:
The 5043h error is a maploc error. Rebuild the maploc files: 1.) Session Manager > Application > IES DataManagement* 2.) ADD data to project 3.) Add Data in IES format 4.) Create a NEW PROJECT INVENTORY (set the 'Restore MAPLOC files' to 'REBUILD') 5.) EXIT, EXIT to run the process After rebuilding the maploc files, the error changed to a status value of 5059 with the same text. In the actual file containing the data, some of the wells contained only header information and no end of data flag (EOD) immediately after the header flag. This caused the next well header information to be read as data information. The 5059 error, getting old path, can also be an ldb problem. Rebuild the maploc and the LDB files (IES Data Management as described above, #4 set the 'Restore LDB files' to 'REBUILD'), and fix the data file. Then reload. * IES Data Management is not a Motif-based application. Therefore you will use arrow keys and the Return key on your keyboard rather than the mouse. . To move across a screen and toggle through options, use the left and right arrow keys . To activate your selection(s) and return to the preceding screen, move the cursor to EXIT and press Return on your keyboard. . To return to the preceding screen without activating your selection(s), move the cursor to QUIT and press Return on your keyboard.
