Curves won't post on one well
Description:
The well appears fine on the Basemap and curves are visible
in LPView, etc., but the curves won't post in the SeisDV
window. The borehole posts in the correct position, has a
deviation survey and has an associated checkshot but none of
the log curves will post on the seismic even though they
exist and are included in the well appearance.
Solution:
1) In DataManager > Wells > Time/Depth, verify that the
checkshot associated to the well has the correct units (i.e.
if the depth values are in feet, the units toggle should be
set to feet).
2)
a. Create a new depth/time checkshot in Wells > Time/Depth
with just two rows as follows (using the units appropriate
for your project):
0m,0msec
TDm,TDmsecs(i.e., 3000m,3000msecs)
Associate it with the well. Then check to see if the log
posts on the seismic data.
b. Add a marker to the well at 1000m (DataManager > Wells
> Markers > Interpret Markers) and post the marker on the
seismic. The marker should plot at 1000ms. If it does then
the problem is likely due to the values of the checkshot
originally associated to the well.
3. If the checkshot values are not a problem, then verify the
values and units of the well path.
