ASAP does not use exclusion fault polygons
Description:
Solution:
In order for ASAP to recognize fault polygons for exclusion, the polygons
must be closed, and they must be set to "preferred".
To set the fault polygon as preferred: In the Basemap application, click
on Define > Fault Boundaries > Create Set... Select the horizon, and at the top
right of the menu, turn on the "Set preferred" toggle.
To verify that the polygon is closed: In the Basemap application, click on Post
> Interpretation. In the "Post Interpretation" menu, click the "Fault boundary
sets" toggle and click the "Select ..." button associated with it. In the "Post
Fault Boundary Sets" menu, select the horizon, the fault and the fault boundary
set, click the "Fill fault boundary polygons" toggle, then the "Ok" button. Then
click the "Ok" button in the "Post Interpretation" menu, and the closed polygons
will display with a filled color.
