function col_rep_get_type_failed
Description:
function col_rep_get_type_failed invalid color representation type specified
Solution:
This error message is caused by a corrupted Map appearance file. 1. To delete the corrupted map go to Basemap > File > Delete > Delete Maps... > 2. Select the current Available map and Available appearance file > OK > Select Yes in the Confirmation box. The maps can also be deleted in DataManager > Map > Delete > Select the current Map files and Map appearance files > Select 'Delete selected map files only' > Delete If only the corrupted Map appearance file is selected for deletion then this warning message may occur 'One or more files marked for deletion belong to a map picture and are not deleted. Remove all maps that contain the file in order to delete the file.' In the Data Manager the message will say 'File(s) not deleted, in use by picture file.' When a corrupted Map Appearance file belongs to any other Map, then that Map will also need to be deleted in order to delete the corrupted Map appearance. The default_map and default_appearance can be deleted and regenerated. See Note. 3. Open a basemap that does not contain this error message with File > Open or create a new basemap. See log 'How to create a new basemap?' **Note: If all of the Available maps and Available appearance files are deleted, close the basemap and relauch from the Session Manager. When the Basemap reopens the Map Type window will appear and a geological or geophysical map can be created. If there are no wells in the project the default geophysical will automatically be created and if there are no surveys in the project the default geophysical will be created. None of the interpretation, wells, cartography, saved paths, etc. will be lost when deleting the maps. Only the user-defined layers will be lost.
