Topic:
Warning: Source and destination survey increments are different.

Description:
Warning: Source and destination survey increments are different, hence these surveys are incompatible for merging, please select another set of surveys. This warning appears immediately while merging interpretation from one project to another (Either 2D or 3D). The warning indicates that the CDP increment for the selected (3D) survey or (2D) line in the destination project does not match that of the source project. *Another error that may indicate the CDP increments are different is as follows: 'Routine work merg prog failed'. Normally this error will have some additional information such as 'no free cache' (See Synopsis 'Routine work merg prog failed'), but if the additional information box is empty, the error could be an indication that the CDP increments do not match. *This error may appear while merging interpretation using multiple 2D lines. There may be one line that has contrasting CDP increments between the source and destination projects, thus the merge will appear to work for some time before producing an error.

Solution:
The solution is to change the CDP increment for the survey (3D) or line (2D) in either the source or destination project. 3D: 1) Open up the DataManager. 2) Click on Seismic > Renumber 3D. 3) Click on the survey being used in the merge, and the survey's first line, CDP, SP numbers. Their corresponding increments will appear in the 'Renumber Parameters' box. 4) Change the CDP increment to match that of the source project (Renumbering in the destination project) or destination project (Renumbering in the source project). 5) Click on 'Renumber' and dismiss. 2D: 1) Open up the DataManager. 2) Click on Seismic > Renumber 2D. 3) Click on the necessary survey and 2D line. The selected survey's trace start and end, SP start and increment, and code will appear in the middle table. 4) Click on 'CDP' in the 'Table type' box in the upper right corner. 5) Click on the trace range*, in the middle table, and the bottom table will be populated with the values corresponding to the chosen trace range. 6) Change the CDP increment to match that of the source project (Renumbering in the destination project) or destination project (Renumbering in the source project). 7) Click on 'Change' at the bottom of the window. 8) Click on 'Save changes' in the middle of the window. 9) Dismiss and continue the interpretation merge. *If there are multiple trace ranges, then steps 4-8 will have to done for each trace range.
