No data storage location (directory)...
Description:
Upon entering Session Manager > Project > Update to locate project DSL's, the
following message is received:
'No data storage location (directory).
No DSL is found to be associated with this project for this session. You DO NOT
HAVE the appropriate DSL for this project. You may request the addition of the
proper DSL for this project as long as you have the correct password. You CANNOT
move this project to a different directory or modify this project's attributes.'
Solution:
This means that either the owner of the project doesn't have this disk defined
under Session Manager > Administration > Data storage locations or IESX
does not know about the disk under Workstation configuration.
1.) Under the IESX Session Manager go to Administration > Configuration and
enter the IESX administrator password, O.K..
2.) In 'Data storage locations', select the project's owner under the IESX user
list. Check to see that the disk this project resides on is listed under
List directories. If it is not, select the disk under Select disk,
enter a D.S.L. description, then enter the D.S.L. path.
3.) If you don't see the disk under the Select disk window, it means you need
to define it under 'Workstation configuration' which is also found under
Administration. Enter a Device name, Device description, Device (Fixed disk
or Tape), Device value (path to disk). Then add to user in 'Data storage
locations' as mentioned in step 2.
4.) Return to Session Manager > Project > Update, select project/password and
make sure the disks are added to project.
5.) If you receive another error message that you cannot add the disk to the
project in Project > Update, then the project will have to be deleted and
repatched.
