Err_record (554001001) -- IESX Release selection failed.  String truncated.

Description:
Attempt to launch IESX from Geonet and nothing happens.
IESX can be successfully started from a IESX xterm.

  Errors received in the log file:
  (located in the users home directory in /geonet/logfile/)
     Err_record(54001002) -- String truncated
     Err_record(54001002) -- String truncated
     Err_record(554001001) -- IESX Release selection failed
     Finished IESX application.

        

Solution:
This error is caused by a project description that has a very long 
description field.  To update the description field do the following:


1.) Start IESX from an xterm window.
    -source /home/gqs/setup_ies
    -IESX

2.) Session Manager > Project > Update
    -check if any projects have a very long description field.
    -If so enter a new description and Update.
