Topic:
My Index Contour increment will not go higher than 2.

Description:
When posting contours in Basemap and trying to increase the Index Contour
increment under the Contour Appearance, the increment will not go higher than
a value of 2.   
        

Solution:
If the Index Contour increment will not go higher than 2 check the following:

1.  In Post > Interpretation > Contours > Contour Appearance, reselect the
    contour in the Select Contour box.

2.  Check to make sure the minimum and maximum contours are not set to 0.
    If they are, exit out of the Select Surface box and click on Contours
    > Contour Appearance.

3.  If the minimum and maximum contours are still set to 0 or the increment
    still will not increase, your contour may be bad.  Delete and remake
    the contour.  You can remake the contour by posting the saved grid and
    go to Gridding > Input Data > Select grid as input data type and click
    OK.  Set the contour parameters as needed and click OK.  Then after the
    contour is generated, go to gridding > Save As... and save the contour 
    that you just made.  Go back to Post > Interpretation > Contours.., click 
    on Contour Appearance and set the parameters as needed.  Now the Index
    Contour increment should be able to be set to greater than 2.
