Topic:
Fault boundaries disappeared.
Description:
Problem seems to occur if running a proj_patch.csh on a project either when moving the UNIX files of a project or restoring a remote or fast backup from scratch, i.e., tarring off the files and doing an Oracle import and NOT specifying an Interpretation DSL. Check to see if this is the problem by opening General Data Manager and query on boundary_sets. Double-click on a fault boundary set. You will receive an error message stating that the data is corrupted. Dismiss the error and select the General Attribute Editor. Select attributes 'File Name' and 'File Storage Code'. 'File Name' should have the path to the fault boundary file and 'File Storage Code' should have the DSL association which seems to always be Interpretation, hence the problem.
Solution:
To fix this, you will need to move the UNIX files and repatch the project. 1) Copy the project.da to a save file in the project's Default DSL. 2) Launch iesx_util and delete project with option number 3. Then copy the project.da.save file back to project.da. 3) Add an Interpretation DSL to the project in Proman. 4) UNIX move the fault boundaries to the Interpretation DSL. 5) Run proj_patch.csh again, this time adding the Interpretation DSL.
