Topic:
Why are my time slices distorted?

Description:
When displaying time slices in the seismic window, if the inline spacing does not equal the CDP spacing, the time slices will appear 'distorted' as compared to the survey displayed in the Basemap.

Solution:
Time slices display at a "trace scale" in a seismic window. The traces per inch (Define-> Scale) is the only factor scaling the time slice. The CDPs and inlines of the time slices will both be scaled based on the setting of the traces per inch and not the setting of the inches per second. To display time slice at a real geographic scale, load time slice into Mapview through Select/Slice Load/Read time slice into grid. Cartographic layers can be posted on time slice in Mapview.
