Why do traces on my scaled seismic plot display as dead traces?

Description:
Seismic wiggle traces become dead traces on scaled plots.

Solution:
If you can see the seismic data in your Seis3DV/2DV window and the plot comes
out with all dead traces, it's likely that the first trace sent to plot on your
seismic line is a dead trace.  The CGM plotting of the seismic line uses the
first trace of the line as a scalar.  If this is the case, simply start the
plotting again and make sure the first trace sent to plot is a live trace.

To specify the first trace to be plotted:
In Seis3DV/2DV > Plot > Scaled plot > Seismic specification, set start 
trace/CDP number to that of your first live trace.
