What does "Force Thru Data Points" in Grid Operations do?

Solution:
This option may be used to force the grid nodes to honor exactly each and every
data point. Each data point is subtracted from the original grid surface.  
A weight parameter controls the effect the error has on the input grid. A value 
of 1 will honor the error surface, a value of 0.5 will create a surface 
midway between the input grid and the error surface, a value of 0 means no 
correction is applied.
 
Selection of the xyz data file occurs upon exiting from this menu. 
This function works best when used with an ordered set of data such as the 
XYZ data used to compute the grid or formation tops from nearby wells.
