What does Option #25: Delete duplicate fault traces do?
Description:
Solution:
This option deletes all duplicated fault traces in a project. The delete duplicate fault traces function removes multiple instances of fault traces that are exactly the same. This function will list the total number of fault traces found, and then remove duplicate cuts. A brief summary shows the total number of fault traces found, and the number of duplicated found and removed. Duplicate fault traces occured in IESX 10.1 when all 2D lines were selected for interpretation merge of fault traces. The fault traces would be copied for each 2D line and fill up disk space. The solution is to merge fault traces separately and choose one 2D line to merge all fault traces over. NOTE: It is recommended to run this function, along with IESX_Util #23 and #24, before upgrading the project to GeoFrame. PROCEDURE: 1.) Option #1 - Initialize access to data area. - Enter the project name and password. - Enter #1 to access exploration data area type. 2.) Option #25 - Delete duplicate fault traces. 3.) Option #2 - Terminate access to the data area. 4.) Option #99 - Exit IESX_Utilities.
