What does Option #38: Extrapolation of xy coordinates do?

Description:

Solution:
This option extends location data to the beginning and/or end of a 2D seismic line if the navigation is not present. This function works by extrapolating location data to either or both ends of a seismic line. The utility uses the first two and last two existing navigation points to extrapolate location data out to the first and last shotpoints. Selection of data is by entire 2D survey, rather than individual 2D lines. Notes: 1.) This option does not replace existing navigation data. 2.) This option does not interpolate between locations. 3.) Selecting option #38 causes option #37 to run automatically. PROCEDURE: 1.) Option #1 - Initialize access to data area - Enter the project name and password - Select Exploration as Data Area Type 2.) Option #38 - Extrapolation of xy coordinates - Select a survey. 3.) Option #2 - Terminate access to the data area 4.) Option #99 - Exit IESX_Utilities
