What does Option #39: Compression of shotpoint tables do?

Description:

Solution:
This option compresses multiple shotpoint tables for a 2D line into a single table. This function takes multiple shotpoint tables for a given 2D line and compresses them to a single shotpoint table for that line. This single entry includes the first and last traces found and will have the same shotpoint increment as the first entry in the table. Option 39 was created to cure a 2D share problem. Sharing 2D, with multiple shot point tables, took a very long time and not all the data would share correctly. Missing navigation was usually the problem. Notes: 1.) User needs to check the tables line-by-line to ensure that all entries for a 2D line share a common increment value before running this utility or line increments will be incorrect. 2.) This option fixes the problems when a DataManager/share operation fails, when annotation does not appear on a 2D line, and when not all navigation data comes across for some 2D lines after sharing. 3.) Data needs to be retied if option #39 is performed or Mistie will fail. This can be done with option #72. PROCEDURE: 1.) Option #1 - Initialize access to data area - Enter the project name and password - Select Exploration as Data Area Type 2.) Option #39 - Compression of shotpoint tables - Select a survey. - Select a line. 3.) Option #2 - Terminate access to the data area 4.) Option #99 - Exit IESX_Utilities
