What does Option #81: Resynchronize IES/IESX well records do?
Description:
Solution:
This option rebuilds all pointers between IES and IESX databases and enforces
uniqueness of well name and of API and UWI ID's.
This synchronization process identifies, lists, and deletes all wells with
invalid xy locations or no locations existing in the IES database that cannot be
loaded into the IESX database.
Options #81, #82, and #83 are intended to deal with several IES/IESX database
issues, such as:
1.) Occasional slips in the internal resynchronization of well data between the
IES and the IESX databases.
2.) Existence of mutiple instances of the same well in IESX.
3.) Existence of multiple wells in IES having the same API or UWI id's and their
transfer into the IESX database as such.
4.) Run Option #83 first to list errors and/or bad wells.
5.) An IES Datamanagement rebuild must be performed before proceeding with
option #82. Please refer to the 'How to' in IES Data Management on this
procedure.
PROCEDURE:
1.) Option #1 - Initialize access to data area
- Enter the project name and password
- Enter #1 to access exploration data area type
2.) Option #81 - Resynchronize IES/IESX well records
WARNING:
If you have not yet done an IES rebuild, using this option could potenially
delete all of your wells permanently. Do you wish to continue (Yes/No)?
- Select Yes, if IES rebuild has been done.
3.) Option #2 - Terminate access to the data area
4.) Option #99 - Exit IESX_Utilities
