What does Option #82: Clear all IESX well information do?

Description:

Solution:
This option deletes all well data from the IESX database. The IESX well database is then reconstructed from IES as defined below: 1.) This option deletes markers from IESX. Markers must be exported back to IES using DataManager > Wells > Markers > Export (exports TVD and time only) to IES before running this option. After option #82 completes the markers can be re-imported by DataManager > Wells > Markers > Import from IES. 2.) Well sets are deleted. 3.) IESX deviation survey information is written to the IES database, deleted from IESX and restored back from IES to IESX. 4.) DVT's flagged as definitive check shots are unflagged, and all DVT's are disassociated from their wells. DVT's that originated as IES checkshots are deleted, then reloaded in their original form and re-associated. If a well with an IES checkshot has an IESX DVT associated with it, the IESX DVT is deleted; the IES checkshot is reloaded and becomes associated with the well. 5.) All IESX log header information is retained except for measurement (MD, TVD, TIME) and generic log type; these will have to be reset in DataManager > Wells > Wells > Log header. WARNING: 1.) Have a current backup before proceeding with this option. Or, use Geoshare to write well information to an RP66 file (Geoshare will convert MD to TVD). 2.) An IES Data Management rebuild must be performed before proceeding with option #82. Please refer to the 'How to' in IES Data Management on this procedure. 3.) Option #81 automatically runs prior to option #82 if option #81 has not already been run. 4.) Run Option #83 first to list errors and/or bad wells. PROCEDURE: 1.) Option #1 - Initialize access to data area - Enter the project name and password - Enter #1 to access exploration data area type 2.) Option #82 - Clear all IESX well information WARNING: If you have not yet done an IES rebuild, using this option could potenially delete all of your wells premanently. Do you wish to continue (Yes/No)? - Select Yes, if IES rebuild has been done. 3.) Option #2 - Terminate access to the data area 4.) Option #99 - Exit IESX_Utilities
