What is the difference between surface slices and horizon slices?
Description:
Solution:
Horizon slices: When you flatten a volume on a horizon, and you generate time slices on that flattened volume, the slices are referred to as horizon slices, since the seismic volume was sliced parallel to a horizon, rather than at a constant time. Surface Slices: Surface slices are "fat time slices", which give you information on trace deflection for multiple time slices on a single display.
