Topic:
Connection Accept Failed error running more than 6 CSA operations.

Description:
The maximum number of CSA operations that can be run is 20. If the number of shared memory segments on the Sun workstation is less than 20, the following error is received: Peak operation socket failed connection accept failed Get SIGCHLD and accept failed with 4 The number of shared memory segments must be increased from 6 (default from the factory) to 25. SGI operating systems do not have this problem as default from the factory is 100.

Solution:
To increase the number of shared memory segments, the '/etc/system' file must be edited. Add/edit the following line to the bottom of the 'system' file to increase the number of shared memory segments from 6 to 25. set shmsys:shminfo_shmseg=25 This will allow users to run up to 20 CSA operations in a single run. Note: This change will not take effect until the system is rebooted, and this change directly affects the kernel. This operation should only be performed by qualified systems personnel.
