Topic:
How does Scale Factor work in seismic loading?

Description:

Solution:
Scale factor is a multiplier applied to data before it is stored. The actual value applied to the data is a power of 2. When a scale factor is input that is not a power of 2, a value will be used that is the next power of 2 lower then what was specified. For example, a scale factor of 15 was input but a value of 8 is what was applied to the data.
