How to plot a time slice using a scale value.
Description:
User wants to plot a time slice using a scale value ie. 1000 ft per inch.
Solution:
Have to use MapView to plot slices in distance.
In GeoFrame 3.5, Seis3dv will have distance scaling in plotting.
1.) Read in time slice: Select > Slice Load > Read Time Slice Into Grid.
- Select survey.
- Select class.
- Select slice and Exit.
In Horizon/time slice loading parameters menu:
- Type in resultant surface name or leave default.
- Title is optional.
- Save Resultant grid should be set to Yes and Exit.
2.) Grid time slice: Select Edit > Grid Contour.
- Toggle Data and Display mode to Grid.
- Toggle Post Data to All Data and Exit.
3.) Plot time slice: Edit > Scaled Map > Display.
- Toggle Display device to Plotter.
- Type in distance value in Scale Value.
- Toggle Scale to Units/in or Units/cm.
- Toggle Grid coloring granularity to Fine.
- Exit.
- Select plotter.
In Metafile Name Specification menu:
- Displays how large plot will be. At this point, you can Quit to abort
plotting and change scale, change parameters, etc.
- Type in File Name (cgm file name) or leave default.
- Toggle Queue to plotter to Yes.
- Toggle Disposition to Delete. ('Keep' will save the cgm file on disk in
the IESX_METAPATH directory defined in /home/gqs/setup_ies)
