Do you need a disk of the same capacity as the seismic volume to load it?
Description:
Solution:
No.
To see what DSL's were setup for loading seismic:
Session Manger > Project > Update. Select the project. Enter the projects
password, click on the 'Seismic DSL's' button to see what seismic DSL's were
assigned to this project.
Beside every DSL name, is the amount of space available. Check to see that you
have enough room left on that DSL under 'Ordered DSL's'. If there is more than
one DSL shown under 'Ordered DSL's', the data will span to the next DSL on the
list depending on how spanning was setup.
To check how the spanning was set up, at the bottom of the Seismic DSL window,
you will see 'Spanning DSL criteria'. Enter value (some number) and check to see
what buttons are pressed. Default is: Enter value = 10000.0 with the 'Kbytes
free' toggled on. This means that when the first seismic DSL reaches 10000.0 KB
of disk space left, it will then load to the next DSL listed under 'Ordered
DSL's'.
The amount of disk space needed for a seismic volume is based on the total
number of inlines, CDP's, samples per trace, and their increment. Under the
IESX_Util's, seismic volumes can be calculated with option #33.
