Origin attribute indicates how interpretation was generated, which makes differential horizon operations possible.

The possible origins of interpretation are
    Seismic interpretation, 
    SurfaceSlice
    Basemap interpolate
    Autopicked
    Unknown
An example of an operation that uses the origin of interpretation can be seen in 
       Data Manager > Interpretation > Delete,
where interpretation can be deleted by its origin.
