Topic:
What is the minimum number of samples needed to define a wavelet?

Description:
What is the minimum number of samples needed to define a wavelet generated or extracted from synthetics?

Solution:
The minimum number of samples 64, but 128 samples is recommended. Note: The program will default to 64 samples in cases where less than 64 are defined. This is important in cases where the operator length and sample rate are defined in the analytical wavelet. For example, if the operator length is set to 128msec and the sample rate is set to 4ms that will give only 32 samples. The program will then automatically set then number of samples to 64, hence, changing the operator length to 256 msec.
