What are some good examples of using the .OR. and .AND. options in Combine Grids?
Description:
Solution:
A good example of when to use the .OR. option is when combining a surface that
truncates against an unconformity and the unconformity surface so as to make a
single surface to contour.
The .AND. option is an "intersect" operation versus .OR. which is a "union"
operation. An example: I have a time map covering a large area, and an
amplitude map of an amplitude anomaly covering a smaller area within the
large time map extent. If I wish to overlay the time contours onto the amplitude
map, the contours would extend way beyond the boundaries of the amplitude map. I
could create a new time map limited to the area of interest by using the .AND.
operation.
