If more than one deviation survey is loaded to borehole, which one is posted in basemap?
Description:
The user has three deviation surveys (same name) loaded for a borehole. Which
one is posted in Basemap?
Solution:
The deviation survey posted in Basemap is the one that is listed adjacent to
the Deviations... button in the Survey Preferences area on the Borehole Editor.
The selection may be changed:
1. Click the Deviations... button, which opens the Select Preferred Well
Deviation Survey window.
2. Select (click) the desired deviation survey name and click OK.
3. The new deviation survey name now appears adjacent to the Deviations...
button in the Survey Preferences area on the Borehole Editor.
To differentiate between multiple occurrences of the same name:
1. Click the Deviations... button, which opens the Select Preferred Well
Deviation Survey window.
2. Double click one of the deviation survey names, which opens the Well
Deviation Survey Editor. Look at the listed values to discriminate between
deviation surveys.
If you still can't tell which is which:
3. Click the button at the bottom of the Well Deviation Survey Editor, which
opens the General Attribute Editor window. The creation date, modification
date, and other attributes are listed here. YOU MAY EDIT THE NAME OF THE
DEVIATION SURVEY HERE AS WELL. Attributes of the deviation survey other
than the defaults listed may also be accessed by clicking the Attributes...
button, toggling on the button adjacent to the atributes of interest, and
clicking OK.
If you make modifications, remember to click on OK to get out of the window
sequence (not Cancel).
