Topic:
Why is the xyz file I loaded through Geoshare not posting on Basemap?

Description:
I Geoshared an xyz MapView file from an IESX 10.x project to my GeoFrame 3.5 project. I tried posting the horizon on the Basemap but received an error that the 'horizon does not have a selected attribute'. How do I get the xyz file posted on the Basemap?

Solution:
An xyz file becomes a scatter set when loaded into GeoFrame. If a horizon does not exist with the same name as the xyz file, one is created as a container for the xyz information. This horizon contains no attributes and so cannot be posted on the Basemap. The xyz file can be located and posted by clicking on the Scatter Sets... option under Post > Interpretation. Click on the horizon name under Available Data to expand the selection and then click on Scatter_Set. Select the xyz/scatter set data to post and click 'OK' to post the information.
