Topic:
How can I determine the projection of an IES project?
Description:
I just received a tape from a partner, and restored it in IES, and upgraded the
project to IESX. During the upgrade, I was prompted for the projection
information. Where do I find this?
Solution:
IES does not use any projection information, it works only in X Y. When you
upgrade, you must determine the projection information from the data originally
loaded into IES. Sometimes if cartography was loaded in an IES project, you can
determine projection in IES by selecting from the main IES menu:
2. Data Management
2. ADD data to project
2 - Set CARTOGRAPHIC PROJECTION
At the top of this menu beside PROJECTION: it might have this information. The
default setting is UTM.
