Why is my seismic data blocky along a traverse?

Solution:
The traverse uses the nearest trace along the path to build the seismic section.  
It might be taking a trace from one side of the path, the next trace might be
from the other side of the path. The one after that from the first side again
etc.
This results in the actual traces zig zagging across the traverse and that is
what may give it the blocky looking nature that you see.
