Topic:
What is the best way to make Horizon slices?

Description:
Horizon slices are amplitude slices parallel to a reference horizon. It is quite useful for geophysicist to analyze the IN-FILL reflection characteristic. In the old IES version Horizon-slice generation could be done directly. So, how about it in GeoFrame3.x version?

Solution:
There are several ways you can achieve this goal: 1) Flatten the Seismic volume along the reference horizon with 100 ms up and down, with "Automatically generate Slices" button turned ON. Then in Seis3DV window, display the slices on flatten volume. This way, the Horizon slices can be plotted with better controlled scale. Or if you simply want to view the Horizon slices, you can: 2) Load the original volume into GeoViz, cut the volume with your reference horizon grid. and play movie with Animation.
