How to add disk space when DSL's are full.
Description:
DSL's are full, get error message: 'no dsl available that qualifies'
Solution:
1.) From IESX Session Manager > Project > Update, select project and enter password. 2.) Add more DSL's to the project by clicking on disk(s) from the lower list: 'Disk space (Kbytes) Available data storage locations' 3.) Selected disks will appear in the upper list: 'Disk space (Kbytes) Selected data storage locations' 4.) Click 'Update'. 5.) Dismiss the 'Update Complete' message. 6.) Click on Interp or Seismic DSL's button, depending on whether space is needed for Seismic or Interpretation, or both. 7.) Select DSL's from top list as required: 'DSL's associated with project' 8.) DSL's will be copied to the bottom of the lower list: 'Ordered DSLs' 9.) Reorder DSL's as required using the Top/Bottom/Move buttons. 10.) Remove any DSL's from the bottom list that no further data should be written to. The 'Delete' button will only delete DSL's from the 'Ordered DSL list', not from 'the DSL's associated with the project' list. 11.) Change spanning criteria as required. 12.) Click 'Update'. 13.) Dismiss the 'Update Complete' message. 14.) Dismiss from the 'Update Project' menu - do not 'Update' again as this will reset the Interp and Seismic DSL's to the default. Default selection for 'Ordered DSL's' is all 'DSL's associated with project' except the 'Home' DSL which is the first in the list. * For information on defining DSL's in IESX and adding them to a user, see: Product: IESX, Application: Administration HowTo: How to add a new disk or tape drive to IESX 10.X. HowTo: How to add DSL's (disk storage locations) to a user. Note: You can also move interpretation and seismic volumes to other disks assigned to the project in DataManager > Utilities > Move.
