How to copy interpretation from one survey to another.
Description:
You have overlapping surveys. You want to write the interpretation of one survey
to the other.
Solution:
1.) Select and grid a horizon.
Select > Horizon > select horizon and attribute > Edit > Grid Contour.
- Toggle Adjust Grid Parameters to YES and Exit.
- Adjust Grid Parameters accordingly, Exit twice and grid will display.
2.) Surface cut grid.
- Up-arrow.
- Surface Cuts > Cut Surface Lines.
- Select Named Lines for 2D lines or select Inline Range for 3d lines.
- In Surface Cuts Along Selected Inline Range menu, toggle 3D Survey
to the 3d survey you want to copy to and Exit.
3.) Save Surface Cut grid back as a horizon.
- Save Surface Cuts > IESX Horizon or IESX Fault.
- Enter the new horizon name amd its parameters.
- Select a color.
- Exit. *It may take a while if you have picked a large area.
The new horizon will now appear in Seis_DV.
4.) You may want to snap those picks.
- Seis2DV > Areal > Snap.
- Specify the lines on which you want to operate.
- Select Horizon(s).
- Select Seismic class.
- Set Specify snap operations to 'Snap all'.
- Set Snap parameters to 'Horizon defaults'.
- Extract amplitude is optional.
- Select Operate.
