Topic:
How to generate time slices.

Description:
Notes: 1.) Make sure you have enough disk space for time slice data. 2.) Time slices can only be generated in the seismic project. All users shared to the seismic project must be disconnected before generating the time slices. 3.) User's must be out of their IESX projects before disconnection can occur. 4.) Time slice generation can take a long time so it is suggested to run the slices after working hours when the user's are out of their IESX projects for disconnection. 5.) After generating the time slices, reconnect the shared projects.

Solution:
1.) To check for disk space: Session Manager > Project > Update - Select project and input password. - Select Seismic DSL's and verify disk space. See 'How to' on how to add more disks to a project. 2.) To unshare users from Seismic project: DataManager > Seismic > Share. - Click 'Select all' under 'Remove incoming references'. - Click 'Disconnect'. 3.) To generate time slices: DataManager > Seismic > Time Slice. - Select survey. - Select class. - Type in interval to use in Sample rate. - Select 'Change Area' or 'Path' (3d rectangular path) if you want to change area of interest, default is the whole survey. - Select 'Generate'. 4.) To reconnect user's to seismic project: DataManager > Seismic > Share. - Click 'Select all' under 'Remove incoming references'. - Click 'Reconnect'.
