How to run areal amplitude extraction for a horizon?

Solution:
In Seis3DV/2DV:

1) Select Areal/Extract.

2) Select the rectangular path for operation.  Choose either an entire 3D survey
   or a rectangular path from the 'Choose 3D survey/rectangular path' button or
   2D lines from the 'Choose 2D lines' button. 

3) Select the horizon and seismic class to extract the amplitude from.

4) Operate.
