How to create a scaled plot in Mapview.

Description:

Solution:
Have map displayed with everything posted as you like it. 1.) Edit > Scaled Map > Display. 2.) Suggest toggle Display Device to Screen, Exit to view display before plotting. If correct, proceed to step 3. 3.) Toggle Display Device to Plotter. - Set Display file to Current. (List gives a list of saved plot definitions) - Type in Scale value. The meaning of this depends on the option you select for Scale. Factor method means the plot is reduced in size by scale value. Units/In or Units/Cm specifies the number of project units (usually feet or meters) per cm or per inch. - Toggle Scale Units/in, Units/cm or Factor. - Type in Description (zero to 64 characters. The default description is the Map Description as set in Define Layout.) - Toggle Grid Coloring Granularity either Coarse or Fine. (Select Fine for better resolution (takes longer) and Coarse for quick QC.) - If desired, change Grid Coloring Technique, Explicit Grid Color Minimum, Explicit Grid Color Maximum, Grid Range coloring, Beyond Range Coloring, Map Extent and Post Data These are all retained from previous displaying of map. - Select Exit. 4.) Plotter Selection - select plotter. 5.) Metafile Name Specification (Displays size of plot). - File Name - Can keep default or rename file (cgm file). - Queue to plotter toggle to yes or no. - Disposition toggle to Keep or Delete (the cgm file). - Exit will initiate plot and Quit cancels procedure without plotting.
