How to delete grid data using polygon(s).

Solution:
There are two ways to delete areas of grid data: - Draw the polygon just for this purpose - Use fault traces as the delete polygon. To define a new polygon on a grid and delete points under that polygon: 1.) Display the grid. 2.) Grid Operations > Edit nodes > Delete nodes and Exit. 3.) Define the polygon on the grid using mb1 to add points, mb2 to delete and mb3 to close. 4.) Up arrow twice. 5.) Save Grid Node Edit. - Type in New Surface Name. - Title is optional. - Toggle Save Grid to YES. - Toggle Save Faults as desired. To delete points under a fault trace: 1.) Display the grid with fault trace. 2.) Grid Operations > Edit nodes > Delete nodes. 3.) Toggle Use Fault Traces As Polygons to YES and EXIT. 4.) Click mb1 on fault trace(s) for deletion. 5.) Up arrow twice. 6.) > Save Grid Node Edit. - Type in New Surface Name. - Title is optional. - Toggle Save Grid to YES. - Toggle Save Faults to NO.
