Solution:
1) edit /kernel/drv/st.conf and add lines as directed in stacker manual.
2) boot -r for system to see device.
3) configure in IESX > Session Manager > Administration.
a) Enter the IESX Administrator password.
b) Select Workstation configuration from the menu.
Type in the device name (this will show up as your tape), device
description (just to remind you what/where the device is), toggle
to tape, and fill in the path for the device under Device value
(remember to use the full path if you are working on a network).
c) Click Add, you will be prompted for the hostname* and Type of drive at
this point - use 9 track for exabyte).
Note: To find the host name for the device, log in to the machine the tape is
physically connected to, and type "uname -a" at the prompt. The second
field in the output is the host name.
In loading definition for seismic, make an entry for each tape that will be
placed in the stacker.
