How to change the contour interval of a grid.
Description:
Solution:
Contour spacing is referred to as the contour interval of the map. When setting
the contour spacing, you may select from a preset coarse, medium or fine
spacing, or a custom spacing. The custom contour spacing allows you to enter
any desired contour spacing. By default, every 5th contour is highlighted on
the map. (The highlighting interval may be adjusted in later posting.*)
In Basemap, if contours are not currently displayed:
1.) Post > Interpretation; select the survey(s), turn on the 'Horizons' toggle
and click on the 'Select...' button; select a horizon and attribute to post
and click the 'OK' button; click the 'OK' button.
2.) Gridding > Input Data; select input data type of 'seismic horizons' and
the 'input feature' and click the 'OK' button; adjust grid and contour
parameters as needed and click the 'OK' button.
In Basemap, if contours are currently displayed:
1.) Gridding > Parameters; adjust the contour parameters as desired and click
'OK'
2.) Gridding > Regrid/recontour
* To adjust the highlighting contour interval, in Basemap:
1) Post > Interpretation; select the survey(s), turn on the 'Grids/Contours'
toggle and click on the 'Select...' button;
2) Select an available contour; click on the 'Display parameters...' button; 3) Under the 'Index contours' section of the menu, set the index increment to the desired highlight increment, and click 'OK';
4) Click 'OK' in the 'Post Grids and Contours' menu; click 'OK' in
the 'Post Interpretation' menu.
