Product: IESX
Version: 10.2
Application: IES Data Management
Search Type: HowTo
Topic:
How to load log curves with uneven sample rate.
Description:
Solution:
1.) Session Manager > Application > IES Data Management*
2.) ADD data to project
3.) Add WELL data
4.) Read general CARD IMAGE INPUT
5.) DEFINE card image format
6.) Set the 'Sampling mode' to 'STEP', and the 'Samples per card' should be set
to the number of depth/value pairs on a single card. So, for example:
---------1---------2---------3---------4
depth value depth value
5000.0 150.0 5001.0 152.0
5003.5 151.0 5006.0 148.0
5007.0 149.6 5008.3 149.0
The samples per card in this case would be 2.
If, however, the ASCII file is in GQS format (#4 above should be 'Read GEOQUEST
CARD IMAGE input from TAPE/DISK'), then the 'Values per Card' field should be
set to the total number of columns you are reading, in the example above, 4.
And the format defined in the ASCII file would be (8X,F6.1,F7.1)
