Solution:
1.) Enter LPView 2.) Select Log Preperation #2 > Edit Log #1 > Graphic Edit #1 3.) Choose the edit function by entering > Change edit Function #3 You have two options to choose from, Range Limit #7, or Replace #1. Range Limit will allow you to enter a top and bottom depth range and an upper and lower limit for the log and either fill the edited area with a constant value or a NIL value (-999.25). Replace allows you to digitize through the cycle skipping by using MB1 to click in a replacement value. Range Limit: 1.) Enter LPView 2.) Select Log Preperation #2 > Edit Log #1 > Graphic Edit #1 3.) Choose the edit function by entering > Change edit Function #3 > Range Limit #7 4.) Choose the curve or curves you want to edit > Choose Curve Set #1 (multiple curve capabilities) > restore/edit curves #4 to display them to the screen. The first curve is a reference curve only and will not be edited. 5.) Enter your range limit parameters > Parameters #5 > Parameters #1 > fields 1-2 control the lower and upper log values that will be NILLED or replaced with a constant value. Fields 3-4 control the depth range for editing. Field 5 chooses te correction type (NIL/Replace). If you choose NIL fields 6-7 are inactive, if you choose Replace fields 6-7 are the replacement value used to fill with. 6.) After filling out the parameters and exiting > choose Apply Correction #6 7.) To save the edited curves select > Save curves #2 > Select curve you edited and exit > save data #1 > enter description > exit #2 to exit edit without writing a new curve. Repeat for each log being edited. Replace: 1.) Enter LPView 2.) Select Log Preperation #2 > Edit Log #1 > Graphic Edit #1 3.) Choose the edit function by entering > Change edit Function #3 > Replace #1 4.) Choose the curve or curves you want to edit > Choose Curve Set #1 (multiple curve capabilities) > restore/edit curves #4 to display them to the screen. 5.) Click MB1 to begin the edit, then click MB1 at the begin and end of the edit zone, MB3 to break, for multiple edits, and MB3 to exit the edit. To edit multiple curves you have to edit each curve individually by "breaking" going to the next curve and so on. 6.) To apply the corrections choose > Apply Correction #6 7.) To save the edited curves select > Save curves #2 > Select curve you edited and exit > save data #1 > enter description, hit return, repeat for each log being saved.
