How to perform tasks in IESX 10.X IESX_Util.
Description:
Solution:
IESX_Util is a collection of functions that perform special operations on a
project or user data area. The IESX database consists of two primary divisions
called the User Data Area and the Exploration Data Area. The User Data Area is
a sub-directory (based on UNIX user name) under the IESX_CONFIG directory, and
is the repository of saved sessions information and some project parameters.
The Exploration Data Area contains the exploration data and database files
stored under other directories made available to the user by the IESX
administrator. The project directories are called Data Storage Locations or
DSLs.
- It is mandatory that no user is accessing a data area while the same data area
is being modified by IESX_Util.
- These functions presume the user has read and write access to the files being
manipulated.
- Make sure that all of the DSL's of the project have adequate disk space, with
the exception of seismic DSL's.
1.) Launch IESX_Util from the IESX Application Selection menu > Select type by
release > select release level > select iesx_util.csh > Start.
2.) Type 1 Initialize access to a data area > type in project name and password
> type 1 for Exploration, and hit return.
3.) Run options, when finished > Type 2 Terminate Access to a data area > Type
99 Exit IESX_Util.
For IESX 10.X for User Data Area:
1.) Launch IESX_Util from the IESX Application Selection menu > Select type by
release > select release level > select iesx_util.csh > Start.
2.) Type 1 Initialize access to a data area > type in userid and password is
iesx > type 2 for User, and hit return.
3.) Run options, when finished > Type 2 Terminate Access to a data area > Type
99 Exit IESX_Util.
