Topic:
How to create and map an isopach in IESX 10.2.
Description:
Solution:
1.) LPView > Log Analysis #3 (PetroView) A PetroView license is required to do this (seperate license than LPView). 2.) Prepare Map Data #7 > Map Geologic Markers #4 3.) Map Isopach #2 > Parameters #1, options (1-6) in Parameters are for minimum and maximum area and values to map. 4.) Select Formation Tops #2 > Compute Map Data #3, this will process each well and each top in the IES database, so if you have markers that have been loaded in IESX you'll need to export them to IES. To do this in IESX: Application > DataManager > Markers > Export to IES > select the markers and wells to export. 5.) Create XYZ File #4 > enter a surface name > enter an output file name, exit. 6.) Enter MapView > Select Data #1 > Read XYZ Data Points #4 > Select the surface name entered in step 5, grid and contour.
