Topic:
How to produce a scaled plot of logs from a single well.
Description:
Solution:
1.) LPView > Log Analysis #3 (PetroView) A PetroView license is required to do this (seperate license than LPView). 2.) Scaled Log Display #8 > Display Log Suite #1 3.) Parameter File #1, uses saved parameter files from a previous setup. 4.) Interactive #2 > Parameters #1 > Menu options 1-2 set the beginning and ending depth range, option 3 will interpolate across NILL areas if (yes), option 4 sets the log scale (in/100 ft/m), option 5 sets the number of log tracks, option six is the display type, option 7 sets the track width in inches, and option 8 sets the depth track in inches. 5.) Curves #2, select the curves for display > Curve Scales #3, allows you to set the curve scales, semilog setting, color, track number, line type, and line weight (use the arrow keys to move around). 6.) Symbols Annotation #4, allows you the option to select a well symbol for dislay along with the formation type and KB depth. 7.) Tops Annotation #5, select formation tops to be displayed. 8.) Enter Text #6, text for scaled display only > Setup Fill Paterns #7 > Add Pattern #1, gives you three options, Fill Between two curves 2nd curve greater than 1st - Fill above curve to top of grid - Fill below curve to base of grid, you can also modify the pattern after defining it. 9.) Screen Display #8, displays to screen only > Scaled Display #9 plots to a plotter.
