How to segy export a traverse or composite path.

Solution:
1.) If you do not have a 2D survey, one can be created in DataManager > 
    2D Seismic > 2D Surveys.
    - Select Create 2D survey and type in name and description.

2.) Then generate a 2D line from the traverse or composite.   
    DataManager > 2D Seismic > Generate 2D
    - Select the path. 
    - Select the class.
    - Select the 2d survey where line will be output.
 
3.) Output line in segy format: 
    DataManager > Seismic > SEGY export
    - Select your 2D survey.
    - Select the lines to export.
    - Set the output parameters.
    - Select 'Generate'.
