How to produce a scaled plot of logs from multiple wells.
Description:
This option does a quick cross section display for plotting and also allows you
to flatten on a top/marker.
Solution:
Wells to plot can be chosen from the basemap or from a list. You can specify
various parameters.
1.) LPView > Log Analysis #3 (PetroView) A PetroView license is required to do
this (seperate license than LPView).
2.) Scaled Log Display #8 > Well Traverse #2
3.) Parameter File #1, uses saved parameter files from a previous setup.
4.) Interactive #2 > Select Well Traverse #1, select from a list or basemap.
5.) Parameters #2, option 1, Margin above Top and below Bottom > option 2,
display well path only > option 3-4, horizontal and vertical scale > option 5,
depth range selection method (depth/formation) > options 6-7, beginning and
ending depths > option 8, connect formation tops > option 9, draw grid > option
10, track width for traverse > option 11, Depth track width for traverse.
6.) Select log curve display #3 > Parameters #1, allows you to interpret across
NILLs, set the track width for the traverse, and the depth track width for the
traverse > select the curves for display, Select Curve Types #2 > Curve
Attributes #3, sets the display range and color fill, line type, line weight,
track number, use arrow keys to move.
7.) Select Tops to annotate #4, select tops.
8.) Select/Deslect Top to Flattern #6, flatten display on an individual top.
9.) Display Traverse #6, displays to the screen only.
10.) Scaled Display #7, scaled plots only.
6.) Symbols Annotation #4, allows you the option to select a well symbol for
dislay along with the formation type and KB depth.
7.) Tops Annotation #5, select formation tops to be displayed.
8.) Enter Text #6, text for scaled display only > Setup Fill Paterns #7 > Add
Pattern #1, gives you three options, Fill Between two curves 2nd curve greater
than 1st - Fill above curve to top of grid - Fill below curve to base of grid,
