Topic:
How to write mistie values out to a file
Description:
Solution:
After running 'mistie' on the data, the mistie values will appear in the Line Tie Report in IESX DataManager. This file can be exported to disk. An alternative method is to export the values as attributes of the horizon 'misties'. The mistie values are stored as horizon attributes in IESX. This has not changed from IESX 10 to 11. The GeoFrame Data Managers will not see information in these horizon files. To get a text output of the Mistie values you must make a user-defined horizon export format in IESX > DataManager > Horizon > Export. 1.) Define the export format to include the items Attribute 1, Attribute 2, Attribute 3. Be aware that attributes are exported in seconds, not ms. 2.) Select the lines you want to export the misties for and the Mistie horizon. 3.) Click on the Specify Attributes button and select the 3 mistie attributes you want exported. 4.) Export every trace. The mistie VALUES (estimates) will all be ********* except on the traces that tie other lines. Mistie CORRECTIONS will have a value at every trace location. Example Export: 6.80211951E+05 5.22551599E+06 50.00 50.00 50 ew_8 77.7 ********* ********* 6.80181959E+05 5.22551526E+06 51.00 51.00 51 ew_8 77.7 98.0 -0.004 6.80151968E+05 5.22551453E+06 52.00 52.00 52 ew_8 77.7 ********* ********* If you simply want the XYZ values of the misties (no line name or SP information) you can also export the attributes to an XYZ file using MapView (IESX10) or CPS3 (IESX11).
