Topic:
How to create a composite path through multiple 3D surveys.
Description:
Solution:
To create a composite path in overlapping surveys: 1. Set User > Preferences > Precedence so that Survey A is below Survey B (and B is below C) assuming that you start your composite path in Survey A. 2. Define > Traverse Paths > Composite 3. Pick one or more points in Survey A with MB1. 4. Pick a point in the overlap area of Surveys A and B. 5. Pick points in Survey B. Continue the same way to get into survey C. 6. To return to Survey A, click MB3 > Control. 7. Change the order of precedence so that A is now above B in the list. 8. Select a point in the overlap area of Surveys B and A. 9. Proceed into Survey A and pick points. 10. When finished picking points click MB3 > Break or Save. To create a composite path in non-overlap surveys: 1. Define > Traverse Paths > Composite 2. MB3 > Control 3. Set Definition Mode to Disjoint mode. 4. Define path in Survey A and MB3 > Break 5. Define path in Survey B and MB3 > Break 6. Define path in Survey C and MB3 > Terminate or Save To create a composite path in non-overlap surveys with a connecting 2D line: 1. Define > Traverse Paths > Composite 2. MB3 > Control 3. Set Definition Mode to Contiguous mode. 4. Define path in Survey A. 5. Click ONCE on the 2D line within Survey A. 6. Follow the 2D line into Survey B and click in Survey B. 7. Continue defining the path in Survey B. 8. MB3 > Break or Save
