Topic:
How to load Zycor xyz and/or grid files into IESX.

Description:
Zycor grids must be brought in using the external card file for grid or
XYZs into Mapview.  Once edit, grid, contoured and saved in Mapview this surface
will be available in IESX.

An external ASCII XYZ file may be in a User format, but must contain MapView
header cards, which describe the data format. External ASCII Grid and Contour
files must be in MapView's internal format.

ASCII XYZ example:
The following example is from a card file for a horizon called MAPVIEW that
contains 3036 data points. The data Z values are time in ms. and the X, Y
location data is in feet.

ASCII grid example:
The following example is from a card image grid file for a surface called H1MV1.
The grid node Z values are time in ms. and the X, Y location data is in feet.
There are 14 grid nodes in the X directions and 25 grid nodes in the Y
direction. The grid cell size is 500.0 X 500.0 feet, and the azimuth is 45
degrees.

Solution:
1.) Select > Read XYZ points or Read Grid.
    - Select External file and type in path/file, hit return and Exit.
    - Select YES, make current data.

2.) Histogram. (You will not receive histogram edit if reading in a grid)
    - You can edit out values here by selecting on the graph and/or Exit.

3.) Select contour icon to display grid and contours.

4.) To save XYZ, grid and contour data:
    Save/Update > Update.
    - Type in surface name or let default.
    - Title optional
    - Toggle z units to appropriate units.
    - Toggle Yes on all options to save.
    - Exit.
